Lucknow. In Uttar Pradesh, 226 more patients died due to corona virus infection on Saturday, while 6,046 new cases of infection have been reported. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s Gorakhpur district of has the highest number of 755 new cases.
Additional Chief Secretary Health Amit Mohan Prasad said that on April 24, the state had the highest number of 38,055 cases and compared to that, only 6,046 cases were reported today which is 84.02 percent less. After the death of 226 more patients in the state in the last 24 hours, the number of people who died of corona infection so far has increased to 18,978, while the total number of infected people has increased to 16,65,176 after receiving 6,046 new cases.
Prasad said that 17,540 corona infected have gone home in the last 24 hours relative to 6,046 newly infected and 15,51,716 patients have been infection free in the state so far.
He claimed that the percentage of patients recovering from corona infection has now risen to 93.02 percent.
