Lucknow: Sero surveillance work is being started in the state from June 4. Under this, samples will be taken from urban and rural areas of all 75 districts of the state. Genome sequencing of covid-19 is being done in the state in collaboration with Central Drug Research Institute, Lucknow. For this, samples will be made available to CDRIs from districts with high infection.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that the state government’s policy of ‘trace, test and treat’ is getting success in prevention of corona infection in the state. Continuous decrease in positivity rate and continuous increase in recovery rate have led to rapid decrease in the number of cases of covid infection in the state. In view of this, in districts with less than 600 active cases of corona infection, it has been decided to exempt partial corona curfew from 7:00 am on June 01, 2021. At present there are less than 600 active cases of corona infection in 61 districts of the state including Sonbhadra, Deoria, Baghpat, Prayagraj, Bijnor and Moradabad, partial corona curfew is being waived in these districts. All related rules, including night and weekly arrest, will remain effective in these districts.
The Chief Minister was reviewing the status of covid-19 in the state at a high level meeting convened through virtual medium today. He said that if the active cases of corona exceed 600 in any district, in which exemption from partial corona curfew is being given, then the exemption given in the concerned district will be terminated and all permitted activities will be banned again. In districts where the number of active cases of corona is more than 600, no exemption will be allowed at present. When the total number of active cases of corona infection in these districts will be reduced by 600 on the basis of the daily corona report of the Health Department, then in these districts also all the exemption will be automatically applied.
