The central government has said that an international magazine has estimated in a report that the death toll due to corona virus in India is 5-7 times more than the official figure. Govt said, the study based on the report of the international magazine is believed to have been done by Christopher Laffler of Virginia Commonwealth University. The Center said that “When research studies were searched in scientific databases like PubMed, Research Gate, etc., nothing was found about this study in it, nor did the report published in the journal give the detailed methodology of this study.”
At the same time, another study was done on the basis of insurance claims in Telangana. The center said there is no peer-reviewed scientific data available on such studies.
The central government said, two more reports have been based on the report of international magazines, Prashnam and C-Voter. The Center said, these firms are well versed in prediction and analysis of election results, although sometimes their predictions turn out to be wrong. These firms were never associated with public health research.
The central government said, it is true that there may be a difference in the mortality rate recorded during and after the public health crisis, but such studies are done after the crisis is over, when the mortality data from reliable sources. are available.
This report of the international magazine came at a time when the real truth of the death toll due to corona in Bihar was revealed recently. The Bihar government was hiding the number of people who died of corona till now.
