New Delhi: The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) on Friday filed a charge sheet in a drugs angle case related to the death of Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput last year before a special court here.
33 accused have been named in the charge sheet of more than 12,000 pages, which includes actress Riya Chakraborty and her brother Shouvik. The document contains statements from more than 200 witnesses.
The NCB started investigation into the alleged use of drugs in Bollywood following the death of Rajput (34) in June last year. The central agency began its investigation based on some WhatsApp chats in reference to drugs.
The NCB arrested Riya Chakraborty, her brother Shouvik, some Rajput staff members and some others under various sections of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act. Riya Chakraborty, Shauvik and some other accused are currently out on bail.
