PC Chacko resigns

Date:

New Delhi: PC Chacko, in charge of Delhi Congress, has resigned after the Delhi Assembly election results. According to the final results announced by the Election Commission, AAP has won a total of 62 seats with 53.57 per cent votes. The BJP won 38.51 percent of the vote and eight seats. At the same time, the Congress could not open its account in Delhi Assembly for the second consecutive time.

Earlier on Wednesday, PC Chacko described the contribution of Congress voters in the victory of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP). He said, ‘AAP has got votes in Delhi from the same people who used to vote for Congress. In 2013, the decline of the Congress Party started in the time of former Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dixit. You got the benefit of that.

PC Chacko further said in his statement that the AAP party emerged during the fall of the Congress. Which snatched the entire Congress vote bank. After this, we could never get it back. It still remains with you. Along with this, he also expressed confidence of returning to Delhi. According to Chacko, the Congress will make a big comeback in Delhi.
