Meerut: In view of the increasing threat of Corona virus in western Uttar Pradesh, the district administration has taken a big step. In Meerut, the DM has issued an order to implement Section 144 till 25 May. Meanwhile, the people of Meerut and Saharanpur divisions who participated in organizing the Tabligi Jamaat in Nizamuddin, Delhi, have been identified.

The administration has identified a total of 57 people from Meerut and Saharanpur divisions who visit Nizamuddin Tabligi Jamaat Markaz. Eight people had gone to attend this Jamaat Markaj from Meerut. At the same time, a person from Hapur joined. Apart from this there was no one from Bulandshahr. Of the eight people of Meerut district, 7 are still staying in Delhi, while one has been identified in Meerut. This person is a resident of Sardhana.

The order on behalf of DM Anil Dhingra said, “In view of the corona virus as well as competitive examinations, Section 144 of CrPC will be effective from 6 am on April 1, 2020 in the district. It will remain in force in all the 31 police stations of the district, including the women police station, till 12 midnight on May 25, 2020.
