Washington: Former US President Barack Obama has sharply attacked Donald Trump for his way of dealing with the corono virus epidemic. He called it a “completely chaotic disaster”. Obama’s web call with former members of his administration was leaked on Friday night. In it, he said Trump’s decision to free Michael Flynn, a former National Security Advisor in the Justice Department, from the charges against him, said it was dangerous for US law. Flynn was convicted of lying to the FBI in an investigation conducted by Russia.
America has become the world’s most infected with the corona virus. About 13 lakh people are infected here and more than 77000 people have died.
Trump’s leadership and his role in facing the worst crisis of the century are being criticized. It is said that they left the states to fight the epidemic and even bid against each other to get important medical equipment from the open market and abroad.
Obama told his former employees that “the things we are fighting against are being selfish, backward, divided and seeing others as enemies – it has become a deep impulse in American life.”
Obama said that “this is because the response given to this global crisis is very unethical and tainted.” He said that “it would have been worse with the best governments. It has been a completely chaotic disaster.”
