Prime Minister spoke to the Chief Ministers through video conferencing.

The lockdown is in force across the country until May 17 to prevent corona virus infection. About a week before the third phase lockdown ended, Prime Minister Narendra Modi once again spoke to the Chief Ministers of the states through video conferencing. PM Modi said in the meeting that the government will have to think ahead and talk about a holistic approach. PM Modi spoke with the Chief Ministers through video conferencing for the fifth time to deal with the outbreak of Covid-19. Home Minister Amit Shah was also present in the meeting.

PM Modi said, “In this whole fight, the world has said that we have been successful in fighting the threat of Covid-19 global epidemic. State governments have played a major role in this fight.

He said on the migration of migrant laborers, “We stressed that people should stay where they are, but it is human nature that we want to go home and therefore we have to change our decisions. Despite this, we have to ensure it is possible that this disease does not spread and does not reach the villages, it is a big challenge for us. “

Home Minister Amit Shah, present at the meeting, highlighted the importance of the Arogya Setu mobile application and urged the Chief Ministers to popularize its download, as it would help in monitoring the spread of the virus.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on March 24 announced a 21-day lockdown across the country to prevent the infection of the corona virus. After this, on 14 April, PM Modi announced to extend it till 3 May. Then the Ministry of Home Affairs extended the lockdown for two weeks and now till May 17 the lockdown is in force across the country.
