Kanpur: Three migrant labourers who were traveling in shramik special trains died during the journey. All of them were already suffering from serious diseases. Kanpur District Magistrate Brahmdev Ram Tiwari on Sunday said that the relatives of the deceased passengers said that all of them had serious illnesses already. As soon as the information was received, the district administration contacted the families of the three passengers and got information about where they had traveled.
Family members said that these three had some serious illness due to which they died. The bodies of the three are kept in the morgue. Tiwari said that Nagaland resident Nachinlew Disang (23) died on Saturday in a special train going from Delhi to Dimapur. It is known that he had liver disease.
He said that the body of the Nachinlew was lowered at Kanpur Central Railway Station at ten in the morning. He was sampled to investigate corona virus infection. Post-mortem will take place after the report arrives. Nachinlew used to work in a spa center in Himachal Pradesh. Tiwari said that Rajna Prasad (50), a resident of Unnao, died in a special train going from Andhra Pradesh to Lucknow, while Munni Devi (80), a resident of Siwan, died in a train going from Surat to Bihar.
