In the supplementary charge sheet, he has been charged under 5 sections. Actually foreigners cannot be stopped in the country unless there is a charge sheet. That is why the Delhi Police has filed a charge sheet.

Earlier this month, the Crime Branch of Delhi Police seized documents of about 700 foreign tablighi Jamaat members. The seized documents also include the passports of these individuals. Apart from these, the passports of Tabligi Jamaat leader Maulana Saad and his son Mohammad Saeed have also been confiscated.

They are among 700 foreigners whose passports have been impounded by the authorities on the charges that they violated visa norms by participating in religious activities.

Last month, the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) had cancelled their visa and had issued Look Out Circulars (LOC) for them to stop them from leaving the country. Some of the Jamaatis from Malaysia were even held at the airport when they tried to leave on a special flight arranged by their government.

According to Delhi Police sources, their travel history is also being looked at as part of the investigation.

Earlier on Wednesday, the Delhi High Court heard a plea seeking transfer of Nizamuddin case to the National Investigation Agency (NIA). The court adjourned the hearing into the matter to May 28 after Delhi Police opposed the petition stating that investigation is going on fine.
