India turns down Donald Trump’s mediation offer on China

New Delhi: The Indian Foreign Ministry has responded to the offer of mediation by US President Donald Trump in the ongoing dispute between India and China in Ladakh. The Foreign Ministry said that we are in contact with China to resolve this matter peacefully.

Indian Foreign Ministry said that our soldiers have taken a very responsible attitude towards border management. Indian troops are strictly following the procedures outlined in the bilateral agreement with China to resolve the problem.

Let us tell you that Donald Trump had offered to mediate between India and China on Wednesday. He had tweeted, “We have informed both India and China that the US is ready to mediate in this border dispute case and is able to do so. Thank you!”

Foreign Ministry spokesman Anurag Shrivastava said, “On the diplomatic front, negotiations are going on between Delhi and Beijing to resolve the matter. Indian troops are strictly following the procedures laid down in the bilateral agreement with China to resolve the problem.”

He said, “Our armed forces have seriously followed the consensus between leaders and the guidelines given by them in border management. At the same time, we will protect our sovereignty and territorial integrity.
