In view of the increasing cases of corona, Maharashtra has been given a lockdown of 15 days. The film also prohibits shooting of films, serials and commercials. The entertainment industry is again suffering heavy losses. Therefore, now the coordination committee of the entertainment industry has written to Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray seeking permission to continue the pre and post-production work during the lockdown.
The coordination committee of the media and entertainment industry, which includes film bodies like IMPPA, IFTDA, FWICE and CINTAA, have all written a letter to the Chief Minister requesting him to be allowed to operate at a limited level during the 15-day curfew. The letter urges that post-production work should be allowed in closed environments so that the content can be edited for broadcast. Let me tell you, the film industry is suffering heavy losses due to this lockdown.
