Health16,103 C+ cases in 24 hours, people lower guard

New Delhi: Covid-19 cases are increasing in the country with each passing day, but most of the people have lowered their guard. As many as 16,103 new Covid-19 cases have been reported in the past 24 hours, though it was a marginal decline from the previous day’s count of 17,092, said the Union Health Ministry on Sunday. More than 31 people died of the disease during that period.

Aside from that, the active caseload has also risen to 1,11,711, accounting for 0.26% of the country’s total positive cases. The recovery of 13,929 patients in the last 24 hours took the cumulative tally to 4,28,65,519. Consequently, India’s recovery rate stands at 98.54%.

The daily positivity rate has also marginally increased to 4.27%. Nearly 3, 76, 720 people were tested across the country.
