New Delhi: There have been 5, 076 fresh Covid cases in the past 24 hours against 5,554 cases reported from different parts of the country on Saturday, officials of the Union Health Ministry said on Sunday. According to reports, the country has recorded 11 deaths. The death toll has shot up to 5, 28, 150.
The active caseload has, however, declined to 47, 945. In the past 24 hours, 5, 970 patients have recovered, sources further said. Now, the recovery rate stands at 98.71%, health officials said, adding that the daily positivity rate has marginally gone up to 1.58%. The weekly positivity rate is at 1.72%.
As many as 3, 20, 784 tests have been conducted in the past 48 hours. The tally has gone up to 88.94 crore. As of now, more than 4.06 crore adolescents have been given the first dose of jab.
