New Delhi: So far 10 people have died in violent demonstrations in the North East Delhi over CAA. A head constable is also among those who died. More than 130 injured have been admitted to the hospital. In this, more than 50 percent people are injured due to bullet injuries. Union Home Minister Amit Shah held a high-level meeting on Tuesday to discuss the situation.

The meeting resolved to strengthen coordination between the police and MLAs of the area and to prevent the spread of rumors. After attending the meeting, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and Deputy CM Manish Sisodia visited Rajghat and appealed for peace.

Officials at GTB Hospital said that on Tuesday, doctors at the hospital declared four people dead. Officials said 35 injured people have also been brought to the hospital. A doctor at the hospital said, “50 percent of the injured have been injured by the bullet.”

According to hospital officials, one of the dead has been identified as Ghodda resident Vinod Kumar (45) who was brought dead to Jag Pravesh Chandra Hospital. He said another deceased has been identified as Mohammad Furkan. The other dead have not yet been identified.

Violence erupted again on Tuesday, a day after the communal clash over the revised citizenship law in north-east Delhi and smoke was seen rising from several places after the arson. The crowd on the streets appeared without any hindrance. People in the crowd were throwing stones, vandalizing shops and threatening local people. Nine people have died in the violence in the last two days.

The rioters ransacked two fire brigades in Gokalpuri amidst rising tension in the northeastern area of ​​the city and also set a bike on fire during provocative slogans in Maujpur. Brick and stone and burnt tires lying everywhere on the streets were testimony to the violence which took a communal color on Monday and around 150 people, including 48 policemen were injured.
