Islamabad. Pakistan has summoned India’s Deputy High Commissioner Gaurav Ahluwalia to protest against alleged ceasefire violations by Indian security forces along the Line of Control. Pakistan claimed that it killed two people, including a 13-year-old boy.

Foreign Office said Mohammad Faisal, director-general of South Asia and SAARC, has summoned Ahluwalia and condemned the ceasefire violations on the Line of Control on 28 and 29 September. Pakistan claimed that three people were also injured in alleged ceasefire violations.

Faisal alleged that Indian security forces are continuously targeting the residential areas along the Line of Control and the working border. He said that unprecedented ceasefire violations by India have continued since 2017 when Indian forces committed 1,970 ceasefire violations. He said that deliberately targeting areas with civilian population is certainly condemnable and contrary to human dignity, international human rights and humanitarian laws. He said that ‘ceasefire violation’ by India is a threat to regional peace and security.
