New Delhi: Assembly by-elections are to be held for 24 seats in the coming days in Madhya Pradesh. In this regard, the Congress and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), which enter the electoral fray, are preparing vigorously. In the by-election to be held in the midst of the Corona crisis, both parties are engaged in planning strategies for victory. The Congress is going to take the help of political strategist Prashant Kishor in this election. Party MLA PC Sharma said on Tuesday that talks were going on with Prashant Kishor for campaigning. Of the 24 seats for which elections are to be held, 22 seats have been vacant since Jyotiraditya Scindia’s pro-legislators joined BJP and resigned from the assembly. Two seats are vacant due to the death of MLAs. The by-election date has not been announced yet.
PC Sharma said that he is talking to Prashant Kishore for the by-elections in 24 seats. Kishore will conduct a poll on the election and help the party formulate a social media strategy. Rallies and public meetings are unlikely due to Corona. The party is now trying to reach the public through social media. Prashant Kishore also worked for the Congress party in the last assembly election. They will help the party in the issue of selection of candidates and voting.
Senior BJP leader and MLA Rameshwar Sharma said, “What will Kishore do? The Congress has made false promises to every section of the society. These schemes, including farm loan waiver, unemployment allowance, etc. have failed.” Rameshwar Sharma said that the BJP is going to win all 24 seats, as the Congress was completely exposed during 15 months of rule in the state.
