Sharad Pawar hit back at Rajnath’s circus statement
MUMBAI: The ruling Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) chief Sharad Pawar on Wednesday hit back at Defence Minister Rajnath Singh for telling the Maharashtra government a circus by saying that the circus has all the animals … just a clown is needed. In fact, Rajnath Singh had recently criticized the Maharashtra government for the Corona infection and said that the circus seems to be running here in the name of the government.
The NCP has retaliated by calling it a circus by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, criticizing the Shiv Sena-led government’s handling of the Covid-19 epidemic. Senior NCP leader and state Minority Affairs Minister Nawab Malik said that the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) has praised the ‘Mumbai model’ in dealing with the Covid-19 epidemic.
In reference to Rajnath’s address at a digital rally organized for BJP workers in Maharashtra on Monday, Nawab Malik said, “It is ridiculous that the government, which itself is running from the hunter of the ringmaster (circus animal bearer), He is calling the democratically-run government (Maharashtra government) a circus … it seems Rajnath Singh is sharing his experiences (as a minister in the Modi government). ”
