Patna: Asaduddin Owaisi’s party AIMIM has announced to contest the Bihar Assembly elections. The party has announced that it will field candidates in 32 of the 243 seats in the Bihar Assembly. Owaisi’s party, which has one MLA in the state, has selected 32 seats in 22 districts with good Dalit population along with Muslims. The list of those seats has been released.
AIMIM is saying that some more seats are being contested. However, it is clear from this list of seats that Owaisi’s party is eyeing the vote of Dalits along with Muslims. AIMIM has further stated that there is no point in aligning with like-minded party.
State President of Owaisi’s party Akhtarul Iman today said that his party will go public in opposition to BJP as well as RJD and Congress.
