Lucknow: Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on Tuesday welcomed the Supreme Court’s decision of the Allahabad High Court monitoring the CBI probe into the Hathras case.
In a tweet, she said, “The Supreme Court verdict in the Hathras case reinforces the hope for justice. From the first day, the family had demanded an investigation under the supervision of the court.”
Further, she added, “The Hathras victim and her family were treated in a very inappropriate manner by the UP government. Her character was questioned. Decisions were taken with malice and prejudice.”
Notably, the Supreme Court on Tuesday transferred the Hathras gangrape case to the Allahabad High Court for monitoring the ongoing investigations.
