The petition was listed before the bench of Justice GS Sistani and Justice AJ Bhambhani for immediate hearing.

On the High Court’s strict comment on the Delhi violence, Solicitor General Tushar Mehta, counsel for the Central Government, said that the DCP has been seriously injured, a constable has also died.

The police officer suffered a head injury and is on ventilator. On this, the Delhi High Court said that the Constitutional officials should visit the area as soon as possible. You must be assured that wherever you live you will be safe. The Delhi High Court also asked the Delhi government to ensure compensation to the riot victims.

The court said that the CM and the Deputy CM should also visit the affected areas to build trust among the people. This is the time to reach people.

The High Court directed to provide helpline, private ambulance for safe passage of victims. The court has also directed the establishment of shelters for rehabilitation. The Delhi High Court said that the situation in north-east Delhi has worsened. The court appointed advocate Zubaida Begum as amicus curiae to coordinate between the victims and various agencies.
