New Delhi: Farmers across the country have started agitation against agricultural laws implemented by the Modi government. Meanwhile, to pressurize the Modi government, along with Sharad Pawar and Rahul Gandhi, big leaders of five parties are scheduled to meet President Ramnath Kovind on Wednesday. Left leader Sitaram Yechury will also join these leaders. The five leaders will meet President Ram Nath Kovind at 5 pm tomorrow. The President has allowed only five leaders to meet due to the Covid protocol.
According to Sitaram Yechury, the meeting with the President will take place on agricultural legislation. Farmers have been protesting on the borders of Delhi for the last 13 days. Farmers are protesting in the bitter cold to repeal agricultural laws. At the same time, today, the farmers’ organizations had announced the Bharat Bandh. The bandh was supported by several parties including Congress, Nationalist Congress, Left parties and Shiv Sena. Therefore, tomorrow the President will be discussed to resolve agricultural laws.
