Patna: The Bihar State Election Commission has said the state civic polls will be held in two phases – on October 10 and on October 20. The polls will be held for 224 urban local bodies, the EC said. For the first phase, the counting of votes will be held on October 12 and for the second phase on October 22. The people of 17 municipal corporations, including those in Patna, will vote in the second phase, according to a notification issued by the EC.
Nomination forms for the first phase could be filed by September 21, and the last date for withdrawal is September 24. For the second phase, the nomination can be filed till September 26. The last date for withdrawal is September 29.
