Patna: Political strategist-turned- politician Prashant Kishor working for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) as part of its conspiracy to gain a foothold in Bihar, said Janata Dal (United) (JD-U) president Rajiv Ranjan Singh alias Lalan said on Saturday.
Singh rubbished Kishore’s claim that he had rejected an offer from Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. The JD-U leader told a press conference that Kishor was not a political worker but a businessman who counted on marketing tactics. Singh further said that Kishor had been working for the BJP and that one of the agents of the BJP was caught during a magistrate checking. He referred to RCP Singh.
According to Lallan, the BJP is counting on conspiracies, because it had used RCP Singh and when they failed to do that, they were working in tandem with Kishor, but the JD-U kept a vigil on such activities.
The remarks of the JD-U president came in the wake of an alleged meeting between Kumar and Kishor. At the meeting, Kishor claimed to have told the Chief Minister that prohibition was a complete failure and needed to be reviewed. Prohibition is one of the most feted moves of the Chief Minister.
