New Delhi: During a meeting between the top army commanders of India and China on Monday, the armies of the two countries have agreed to move out of the conflict zone in eastern Ladakh. Official sources have given this information. The talks, he said, took place in a “cordial, positive and constructive atmosphere” and it was decided that the two sides would implement modalities to move away from all confrontational locations in eastern Ladakh.

On Monday, 14 Corps Commander Lt Gen Harinder Singh and Tibet Military District Commander Major General Lu Lin held talks for nearly 11 hours with the aim of easing tensions following the violent clashes in the Galvan Valley between India and the Chinese Army last week. “There is a mutual agreement to withdraw from the confrontation,” the source said. The modalities to move out of all the conflict zones in eastern Ladakh were discussed and will be implemented by both sides. ”

A second round of Lieutenant General level talks between the armies of the two countries took place on Monday (22 June) to ease tensions following the violent clashes in the Galvan Valley between India and the Chinese Army last week. The meeting began in Moldo, located in the Chinese part of the Chushul sector in eastern Ladakh, at around 11:30 am and continued through the night.

20 military personnel, including a colonel of the Indian Army, were killed in a violent clash with Chinese troops in the Galvan Valley in eastern Ladakh. Since then, tensions between the two countries have increased further. Chinese troops attacked with stones, nail poles, iron rods, etc., on protest against China’s construction of a checkpoint on the Indian side of the Line of Actual Control in Galvan. In which 20 soldiers of India were martyred, including a colonel.
