India Ideas Summit: PM Modi’s Clarion Call For Foreign Investment In Potential Sectors

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday addressed the India Ideas Summit organized by the US-India Business Council. He said that the investment opportunity in India is huge.

PM Modi said that India invites you to invest in the hard work of your farmers. India invites you to invest in the health sector. He said that our healthcare sector is growing at a pace of 22 percent. The Prime Minister said that domestic capacity of manufacturing will have to be increased. The country’s financial institutions will have to be strengthened. Modi said that today the world is looking towards India.

PM Modi said that you are invited to invest in the infrastructure sector in India. The Prime Minister said that the largest infrastructure construction is going on in India. PM Modi invited American companies to invest in defense sector. He said that we are raising the limit of FDI for investment in defense to 74 percent.

The summit is being organized by the US-India Business Council. This year marks the completion of 45 years of the formation of the US-India Business Council. This special event is being organized on this occasion. In this, the Prime Minister invited American entrepreneurs to invest in the finance and insurance sectors.

During the summit, Indo-American cooperation and their relations were discussed in the post-Corona epidemic. Earlier, the Prime Minister’s Office had issued a statement that the theme of this year’s ‘India Ideas Summit’ is ‘Building a better future’.

Among those who addressed this year’s summit, India’s Foreign Minister S.K. Jaishankar, US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, Virginia Senator Mark Warner and former US Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley. “The summit will discuss topics such as Indo-American cooperation in the post-pandemic world and future relations between the two countries,” the statement said.
