New Delhi: China intruded into Indian territory in eastern Ladakh in early May, the Defence Ministry acknowledged in a document showing on the news section of its website since Tuesday. Two days after it was put up on the Ministry of Defence website, the page is missing.
According to the news of NDTV, this document was uploaded in the What’s New section of the Ministry of Defence. In this, the Ministry of Defence had said some important things about China’s aggression on LAC. According to this, ‘China’s aggressive attitude has been growing around LAC since May 5, 2020, and especially in the Galvan Valley. China intruded on the north shore areas of Kungrang Nala, Gogra and Pangong Tso Lake on May 17-18. ‘
It was also told that there was a dialogue between the armed forces of the two sides to correct the situation. The Corps Commanders’ flag meeting also took place on 6 June. “However, there was a violent clash between the two sides on 15 June in which both sides suffered losses.”
Subsequently, the document states, a second Corps Commander-level meeting was held on 22 June to discuss ways to reduce tensions. It also said that the situation in eastern Ladakh, created by unilateral aggression from China, remains sensitive and needs to be taken swiftly, including monitoring it.
Significantly, talks are being held at the army level to resolve matters between the two countries. However, India has been making it clear that it will not compromise on territorial integrity. Last Sunday, senior commanders of the armies of both countries held intensive talks in Moldo on the Chinese side for about 11 hours.
