Renowned classical singer Pandit Jasraj died at age 90

New Jersey: Pandit Jasraj, the famous singer of classical music embellished with Padmavibhushan. Pandit Jasraj of Mewati Gharana died in New Jersey, USA on Monday. He was 90 years old. The music world has suffered a lot due to the death of Pandit Jasraj.

According to the information given by Jasraj’s family, he breathed his last at 5.15 am local time.

It is worth mentioning that Pandit Jasraj was born on 28 January 1930 in the classical music singer family. His family had the distinction of giving Hindustani classical music more than one artisan for 4 generations. His father Pandit Motiram ji himself was a special musician of the Mewati Gharana.

Pandit Jasraj has also done many new restrictions by doing extensive research on ‘Haveli Sangeet’ under Baba Shyam Manohar Goswami Maharaj. His most important contribution to Indian classical music.
