New Delhi: Corona virus continues to wreak havoc in China and 35 more people died there on Sunday. So far 2,870 people have died in the country from this deadly infectious disease. Chinese authorities reported 47 deaths on Saturday. The National Health Commission has confirmed 573 new cases of infection. With this, the number of people infected with the corona virus in the mainland of China has reached 79,824.
South Korea on Sunday confirmed 376 more cases of corona virus, taking the number of infected people to 3,526 in the country. These are the most cases of corona virus in a country outside of China.
Korea’s Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said in a statement that about 90 percent of new cases have been reported in Daegu and its neighboring province of North Gyeongsang. The number is expected to increase further as authorities examine more than 2,60,000 members of the Shincheonji Church of Jesus.
