Lucknow: The police have taken the minor daughter into custody, revealing the murder of the railway officer’s wife and son in Uttar Pradesh’s capital Lucknow on Saturday. Police claim that the daughter, who is under mental stress, shot and killed her mother and brother and cut her own hand with a blade. He told that the girl is a shooter. Police have recovered weapons and blades used in the murder.
On Saturday, the Lucknow police confirmed to have received the report of a double murder that happened earlier in the day in the Gautampalli colony. Earlier, the information being decimated was that some miscreants entered the railway colony house in broad daylight and shot the mother-son duo.
However, police revealed that there were no signs of forced entry inside the house. After that Lucknow Police Commissioner interacted with the media, he informed that the railway officer’s daughter has admitted that she committed the crime. The police are questioning the daughter and have recovered the murder weapon.
The daughter, a Class 10 student, is reported to have stated that she is a trained shooter. An early round of questioning brought to light that the juvenile is suffering from depression and earlier in the day, she tried to inflict injuries to herself on her wrist. So as of now, the motive established is the daughter’s depression.
Further investigation of the matter is underway. The bodies have been sent for post-mortem and a forensic team is probing the scene of the crime.
