MEA admitted, current situation on LAC is very seriuos

New Delhi: Tension has once again reached its peak on the India-China border. On Monday night a warning firing was done on the LAC. Since the violent clashes in the Galvan Valley on June 15, talks have been held between the two countries to normalize the situation, but have not yielded any results so far. Amidst these developments, Foreign Minister S.K. Jaishankar is about to visit Russia where he may also meet Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi over the border dispute. Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar said on Monday that the situation on LAC was extremely critical.

External Affairs Minister Jaishankar admitted that the current situation on LAC is very serious and there is a need for very serious and deep dialogue at the political level between the two countries. Jaishankar said that the relationship between the two countries cannot be seen in bilateral talks apart from the situation in the border.

In a conversation with a newspaper, Jaishankar while referring to his book ‘The India Way’ said that he had already written about the unfortunate incident in the Galvan valley over mutual relations. Tensions have increased on the LAC following violent clashes between Indian and Chinese troops in the Galvan Valley on 15 June. In this, 20 Indian soldiers were killed and a large number of Chinese soldiers were also killed.
