Special court verdict on Babri demolition is contrary to Supreme Court verdict: Congress

New Delhi: The Congress said that the decision of the special court on the Babri demolition is contrary to the decision of the Supreme Court. The decision of the special court to acquit all the culprits in the case is beyond the judgment of the Supreme Court and the convention. The demolition of Babri Masjid was an unlawful offense as per the 9 November 2019 decision of the Supreme Court’s 5-judge bench.

Congress spokesperson Randeep Surjewala said that as per the Supreme Court’s decision in 2019, the demolition of Babri Masjid was an unlawful offense but the special court acquitted all the accused. The decision of the special court is clearly contrary to the decision of the Supreme Court.

The Congress on Wednesday called the CBI special court’s decision in the Babri demolition case hostile to the Supreme Court’s ruling last year, saying that everyone who believes in the Constitution, social harmony and brotherhood hopes that this “irrational decision” The provincial and central government will file an appeal against the High Court.
