Patna: Voting for the third phase of Bihar assembly elections is going to be held on November 7 tomorrow. Political fervor has intensified for the voting for 78 seats. The fate of many veterans is to be decided in the political battle of this phase.
Many of these big faces are hoping to return again, while many are ready to face backlash. In such a situation, the third phase is very special for the ministers of the Bihar government. In this phase, along with 12 ministers of the state government, the Speaker of the Legislative Assembly and the Leader of the Opposition are also pushing the electoral table. As part of the third and final phase of the Bihar assembly elections, voting will be held on Saturday in 78 assembly constituencies where all eyes are on the contest between the ruling National Democratic Alliance (NDA) and the opposition grand alliance in the state.
For the state’s 243-member assembly, the 78 assembly seats to be voted on in the third and final phase are located in 15 districts and about 2.34 crore voters will exercise their franchise in the voting to be held on Saturday. In this phase, 1204 candidates, including Speaker of the Legislative Assembly and 12 members of the State Cabinet, are in the fray. In addition to the assembly, there will be votes for the by-election in Valmiki Nagar Lok Sabha seat on Saturday.
