Jammu: Pakistan violated the ceasefire without any provocation on the Line of Control in Lam area of Nowshera sector of Rajouri district in Jammu and Kashmir in which a soldier was killed and another was injured. The Indian Army is also giving a befitting reply to the firing. The martyr jawan has been identified as Havildar Patil Sangram Shekhar resident of Kohlapur Maharashtra.
The injured second jawan is of naik rank. The injured jawan has been admitted to Rajouri Military Hospital. According to information received from military sources, this series of shelling started in the early hours today. Pakistani soldiers fired mortar shells targeting Indian posts. Two jawans were seriously injured by shelling.
The injured soldiers were rushed to the hospital where the doctors declared Havildar Shekhar a martyr.
