Iconic footballer Diego Armando Maradona has reportedly passed away at the age of 60, according to several leading publications.
Unconfirmed reports of Maradona’s death circulated on social media, with several renowned and well-informed sports reporters tweeting about it.The news was later confirmed by ESPN Deportes and other publications in South America.
The World Cup-winner was recently hospitalised and underwent brain surgery and was released on Nov. 11.
