BSF officer killed in Pakistan sniper fire in J&K’s Poonch

Jammu: A sub-inspector of the Border Security Force (BSF) was killed in a ceasefire violation on Tuesday by Pakistan along the Line of Control in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir. Officials gave this information.

This incident happened on a day when BSF is celebrating its foundation day. A statement issued by the BSF said, “The ceasefire was violated again by Pakistan without provocation in Rajouri sector. In this attack, BSF sub-inspector Paotinsat Guite was martyred who was stationed at the forward post. He not only responded to the firing of the enemy but also saved the lives of many of his comrades. ” The statement said that Shaheed Adhikari showed the highest commitment and sacrificed his life while discharging his duty.

BSF Inspector General (Jammu Frontier) NS Jamwal paid tribute to the Sub Inspector and said that he was a brave and loyal officer. The statement said, “A grateful nation will always be indebted to him for his supreme sacrifice and devotion to duty. The officer’s sacrifice will not go in vain. ” The BSF statement said that the mortal remains of the martyred officer would be flown by plane to Mafukuki village in Imphal where he would be cremated with full state honors.
