Gold worth Rs 10 crore looted in Bihar

Patna: At around 10.30 am, six armed criminals managed to escape by looting gold worth more than Rs 10 crore from Alankar Jewelers located in Bada Bazaar in Bihar’s Darbhanga district.

That incident also happened when Nitish Kumar was holding a high-level meeting in Patna regarding the law and order of Bihar. Nitish Kumar was giving a plea to the authorities on law and order and criminals on the other hand were carrying out a major incident of loot.

According to the information received, after committing the crime, the criminals kept firing on the road and continued to walk. Eyewitnesses said that 25 to 30 rounds have been fired in the miscreants. The incident took place about two hundred meters from the house of BJP’s city MLA Sanjay Saravagi.

The incident took place in Alankar Jewelers in Lath Market of Darbhanga’s Bada Bazaar. After the robbery, the criminals escaped comfortably. CCTV footage of the incident has also surfaced. BJP MLA from Darbhanga, Sanjay Saravagi said that there is police at Tower Chowk, three hundred meters away, but it took half an hour to reach it.
