Nitish handed over responsibility of JDU President to RCP Singh

Patna: Janata Dal United (JDU) has undergone major changes. RCP Singh has been appointed as the new president of JDU. RCP Singh is currently the party’s Rajya Sabha MP and leader of the parliamentary party. In the JDU meeting, CM Nitish Kumar himself named him further and then the other members supported it.

In the meeting, Nitish Kumar said that it is not easy to handle two posts simultaneously. It was not easy to play both the chief minister of Bihar and the national president of JDU simultaneously. However, earlier also, Nitish Kumar had mentioned before the leaders and activists that he would see the same work after me.

RCP Singh has been considered very close to Nitish Kumar. During Bihar elections, Nitish Kumar used to consult him on many topics. RCP Singh is considered the second largest leader in the party after Nitish Kumar.

RCP Singh has held the post of IAS officer in UP cadre. He was also made the Principal Secretary in the Nitish Kumar government. He has also held many important positions in the UP government but joined the JDU after this and is now considered the most special of Nitish Kumar. 62 year old RCP Singh Awadhiya hails from Kurmi caste. Nitish’s district hails from Mustafapur in Nalanda.
