New Delhi: In the Rajya Sabha on Tuesday, members of opposition parties created a ruckus about the farmers’ agitation, due to which the house proceedings were adjourned thrice.
Members of the opposition parties raised the issue of farmers’ agitation during the Zero Hour and Question Hour, due to which the proceedings of the House were first adjourned till half past ten and at half past eleven and then at half past twelve. The members of the opposition parties came in the middle of the house and raised loud noises and slogans.
Earlier, members of the opposition party walked out of the House after Naidu did not allow the matter. After this, during the Question Hour, members of the opposition party came to the House and started creating uproar. Mr. Naidu said that the members had walked out of the House on the matter and they should not disturb the House during the Question Hour. He requested the members to cooperate and said that he could raise the issue in the House tomorrow.
Significantly, the farmers have been sitting on a dharna on the borders of the capital Delhi for more than two months in protest against the three agricultural laws of the central government and have been adamant on repealing the three agricultural laws.
