Red Fort Violance: Swordman maninder arrested

New Delhi: Maninder Singh alias Moni (30), who waved a sword at the Red Fort, was arrested during a tractor parade taken out on 26 January against three agricultural laws.

Maninder Singh, who was wanted in the Red Fort violence case, has been arrested on Tuesday evening near Pitampura. Two swords have been recovered from his house in Sindhi Colony of Swaroop Nagar. Maninder works as an AC car mechanic and runs a sword training school in an empty plot near his home.

Earlier, actors Deep Sidhu, Sukhdev and Iqbal Singh have been arrested in the Red Fort violence case. The police had announced a cash reward of Rs one lakh to those giving information about Deep Sidhu, Jugraj Singh, Gurjot Singh and Gurjant Singh. Apart from this, the police had announced a cash prize of Rs 50,000 for those giving information about Jajbir Singh, Buta Singh, Sukhdev Singh and Iqbal Singh.
