Modi government compromising on country’s financial security: Rahul Gandhi

New Delhi: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, while supporting the bank employees who are striking against the privatization of banks, said that the government is making a serious compromise with the financial security of the country by selling it to public sector banks.

Rahul Gandhi tweeted, “GOI is privatising profit & nationalizing loss. Selling PSBs to Modicronies gravely compromises India’s financial security. I stand in solidarity with the striking bank employees. “

Significantly, today is the second day of the strike of the public sector banks against the proposal of privatization of two more public sector banks. Banking operations were affected on the first day of the strike on Monday. The strike affected cash withdrawals, deposits, check clearance and business transactions in public sector banks. Even today these services are expected to be affected.
