New Delhi: The Congress has said that the latest report of the French media, which is raising the scandal in the Rafale fighter jet deal, said that an additional payment of 21 thousand 75 crores has been made in this deal.
In a statement issued here on Friday, the head of the Congress Communications Department, Randeep Singh Surjewala, said that money has been exchanged in Rafael and the government treasury has been defrauded of 21 thousand 75 crore rupees.
He said that the revelations in the French media said that in 2016, an additional payment of 21 thousand 75 crores was made for Rafael. According to today’s amount, it is more than 39 thousand crores. He said that this huge extra amount has been paid, it is not a petty scam.
The spokesperson said that this latest evidence in the scam has come from the news portal of a French website. This web site says that there has been a lot of corruption in Rafale purchase. He termed this corruption as treason and said that the interests of the country have been played with in this deal.
