New Delhi: Congress President Sonia Gandhi has written a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, expressing concern about the rising outbreak of black fungus, and demanded the government to provide immediate relief to the victims by making adequate arrangements for the treatment of this epidemic.
Sonia Gandhi said in a letter to the Prime Minister on Saturday that the Central Government has asked the states to declare a Black Fungus epidemic but there is not enough means available to deal with it.
He said that according to reports, there is a lot of scarcity in the market of medicines required to treat the epidemic and in such a situation, the epidemic cannot be dealt with by declaring it without preparation.

The Congress President said that with the acute shortage of medicine, this epidemic has not been linked to health schemes like Ayushman Bharat till now. He said that the Central Government should take quick steps in this direction and provide relief to the people.
