New Delhi: Yoga Guru Baba Ramdev was today reprimanded by the Central Government for commenting against medical doctors and allopathy. Union Health Minister Dr. Harsh Vardhan has written a letter to Baba Ramdev on the statement that has created controversy regarding allopathy medicines and he has said that the doctors and other health workers who are fighting day and night against Corona are devout for the whole country. In this regard, he has been asked to write a letter and withdraw his objectionable statement. Keep in mind that Baba Ramdev had even called medical doctors as killers. The IMA has demanded a prosecution against him.
Writing the letter, the Health Minister said, ‘Your comments on allopathic medicines and doctors have hurt the countrymen a lot. I have already made you aware of this feeling of the people on the phone. The explanation you issued on Saturday is not enough to heal the hurt feelings of the people. In this crisis of corona epidemic, when allopathy and its associated doctors have donated new life to crores of people, it is very unfortunate to say that millions of corona patients have died due to use of allopathy medicine. . ‘
The Health Minister further wrote in the letter, ‘It is unfortunate for you (Baba Ramdev) to call allopathy therapy as a spectacle, waste and bankrupt in the treatment of corona. Today, millions of people are recovering from Corona and going home. Today, if the death rate of corona in the country is just 1.13 percent and recovery rate is more than 88 percent, then allopathy and its doctors have a significant contribution behind it. To show the current methods of treatment as a spectacle can prove to be not only allopathy but also to break the morale of their doctors and weaken our fight against corona epidemic. I do not accept the explanation you gave. ‘
