Mass resignation of 3,000 junior doctors in Madhya Pradesh

Bhopal: The Madhya Pradesh High Court has condemned the junior doctors who have been on strike for the last 4 days for their 6-point demands as unconstitutional and ordered to withdraw the strike immediately. After which more than 3000 junior doctors from across the state resigned their collective resignation.

The High Court has issued these guidelines while hearing a petition already pending in the High Court on the junior doctors strike. The High Court has said that during the Corona epidemic, when doctors are needed the most, the strike of junior doctors cannot be justified in such critical situations. The High Court has directed the government that if the junior doctors do not return to their work within 24 hours, then the government should take strict action against them.

330 junior doctors of Gwalior’s GR Medical College submitted their resignations accusing the government of breach of promise. Doctors say that we were on strike for four days, trying to communicate with the government, at least the medical minister should talk to our representatives but they are not doing it.
