Mumbai: The Maharashtra government has issued a notification to relax the restrictions imposed under ‘Break the Chain’ in the state from Monday onwards.
In this regard, notification was issued by Aseem Gupta, Principal Secretary of Maharashtra State Disaster Management, Relief and Rehabilitation on late Friday night.
The notification stated that the districts are divided into five phases based on the criteria of Covid infection rate and use of oxygen beds.The rules will come into force across the state from June 7 (Monday).
Districts with less than 5 per cent infection rate and less than 25 per cent use of oxygen ambulances will come in the first phase. All transactions in such districts will continue smoothly.
Districts with an infection rate of 5 per cent and oxygen beds use between 25 and 40 per cent will come under the second phase. All transactions including construction, agricultural services will be started in these districts. Restaurants, malls, cinemas, gyms, salons, spas will start at its 50 per cent capacity.
Districts with five to 10 per cent infection rate and more than 40 per cent use of oxygen beds come in the third phase. Other shops in these districts, along with essential services, will remain open till 4 pm. Only essential services will continue on Saturdays and Sundays.
