Patna: The battle for leadership in Lok Janshakti Party has reached its final stage. Within hours of the rebel MPs’ decision to remove Chirag Paswan from the post of national president, a reply came from the other camp as well. In a letter issued by the party, it has been said that in the meeting of the National Executive Council, the five rebel LJP MPs have been expelled from the party.
On the letter head of Lok Janshakti Party, Chirag Paswan has been shown as the national president. It said that the National Executive Committee has unanimously expelled party MPs Pashupati Kumar Paras, Veena Devi, Chaudhary Mehboob Ali Kaiser, Chandan Singh and Prince Raj from the primary membership of the party with immediate effect. The National President of LJP has been authorized to take all the decisions for the upcoming assembly elections on behalf of the party.
On the other hand, there was a ruckus in the LJP office in Patna on Tuesday evening after party MPs announced the removal of Chirag Paswan from the post of president. Chirag Paswan’s supporters blackened the posters of the five other party MPs and raised slogans. Bihar Lok Janshakti Party President Raju Tiwari said that on Tuesday, it has been decided unanimously by the National Executive that the five MPs have been expelled from the party. These rebel MPs have done anti-party work. Most of the members were present in this executive meeting. He was already given notice.
