Lucknow: Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav has said the BJP has been unnerved by the huge success of his party candidates in panchyat election. He alleged that the ruling party jittery over its rout in elections, it’s misusing the official machinery to win the election of block pramukh and chairman of district panchyat by deploying money and muscle power.
“Despite the lacking the numbers to win the elections, the BJP is terrorising the member district panchyat and member kshetr panchyat samiti to vote for the ruling party candidates’’, said Akhilesh Yadav inna statement here on Friday with adding “ the BJP has let loose the repression which is flagrant violation of the political executive power and a threat to democracy’’.
He said a delegation of the Samajwadi party had met the DG police on June 16, to register the complaint but in vain. He said the SP leaders complained to the DG police that a team of revenue department officials raided the residence of elected member district panchyat Avnesh Khatik and misbehaved with him. He alleged that the officials threatened him to fall inline otherwise he will be framed in myriad cases.
