Terrorists caught from Lucknow sent to 14 days police remand

Lucknow: Two terrorists belonging to Al-Qaeda’s Ansar Ghazwat-ul-Hind were arrested yesterday from Kakori in Lucknow, both of them have been sent on 14-day police remand.

In fact, the Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) of Uttar Pradesh carried out a major operation on Sunday. In which ATS arrested two suspected terrorists associated with Al Qaeda from Kakori on the outskirts of Lucknow. The two terrorists were reportedly hiding in a house in Kakori area, following which the team raided there.

The ATS team had received a tip-off about his presence and was keeping a watch on him for the past one week. After the information received, UP ATS along with commandos and heavy force raided the Kakori area and arrested them. Now after the production, both have been sent to fourteen days of police custody.

According to the ATS, two pressure cooker bombs, a detonator and 6 to 7 kg of explosives have been recovered from the house. One of the arrested suspects is named Minhaj Ahmed and the other’s name is Maseeruddin alias Musheer.
