After a landslide in Himachal Pradesh’s Kinnaur trapped numerous cars beneath rubble this afternoon, one person perished, and about 30 more are believed to be buried. Around 12.45 p.m., a landslide occurred on the Reckong Peo-Shimla Highway in Kinnaur. A truck, a state-run bus, and other vehicles are thought to be trapped beneath the rubble.
According to reports, the bus to Shimla had 40 individuals on board. According to the local authorities, between 25 and 30 individuals were trapped or buried. There have been six individuals rescued. Rescue teams from the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) have been dispatched to the area.

“The NDRF has also been alerted. We’ve got word that a bus and a car may have been struck”, according to Mr. Thakur, who spoke to reporters.
According to the administration, Union Home Minister Amit Shah talked with Mr. Thakur and offered all possible assistance. Over the last two weeks, heavy, continuous rain has triggered numerous landslides in Himachal Pradesh. PM Narendra Modi talked with Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Jairam Thakur on the situation in Kinnaur following the landslide. PM promised all possible assistance in the continuing rescue efforts.
Nine visitors were killed in another region of Kinnaur last month when large rocks crashed on their automobiles. Boulders rolled downhill and smashed against a bridge in a video that became viral on the internet. This season, the state has produced several such clips. Another event occurred in Sirmaur when a length of road crumbled as a hillside tumbled in stunning landslide footage following two days of nonstop rain.
